  • ← There was an oath of citizenship ceremony this morning at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services location in Orlando. Michael, one of the people being sworn in, has actually been a citizen since his birth. It even says so on his certificate of citizenship. Why he is taking his oath now is a long story, starting with him being born in Germany to a father serving in the U.S. military. Michael has been an IDignity client for the past two and a half years. After a long process that involved tracking down immigration records and getting certified translations on foreign paperwork, Michael has proof of what he always knew, he is a U.S. citizen.
