Identification Service Days
Serving multiple locations in Seminole County
2nd & 4th Wednesdays each month
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
IDignity Seminole typically holds client service events two times each month. These events normally are held on the second Thursday and on the last Wednesday of each month. The events held on the second Thursday are at alternating locations: one month at the Rescue Outreach Mission in Sanford and the following month at The Sharing Center in Longwood. The events held on the last Wednesday of each month are normally at the Salvation Army in Sanford. Persons needing assistance should call for an appointment or for additional information. The number to call is (407) 900-7840. When you call this number, you can leave a message and one of our volunteers will call you back.

Appointments begin and 10 AM and will go on until 12 PM. Arrive early as intake will end when maximum capacity is reached. The state of Florida sets the criteria for what proofs are acceptable to obtain an ID or driving license. We encourage you to bring as much of the following as possible in order to help you obtain an ID/license. If you have any questions, please call 407-792-1374.
In order to obtain or replace a Florida ID, you will need the following Proofs.
IDignity will try to assist you in obtaining missing proofs. This process may require you to attend multiple events and it does not always work. If proofs have already been accepted by the DMV since Jan 2010, you may not have to submit again.
(1) Proof of Identity (need one of the following)
- If born in U.S., an original certified birth certificate from Vital Statistics with raised seal; or
- A valid U.S. passport, permanent resident card or immigration documents.
(Any change in name will require appropriate records: e.g. marriage certificate, divorce decree or other legal name change documentation)
(2) Proof of your Social Security Number (need one of the following)
- SS Card, Medicare Card, Tax form (W-2 or 1099) or job payment stub.
(3) Proof of Residency (need at least two of the following)
- Mail or lease or bill within the last 60 days with your name and address on it;
- Letter from a shelter or housing program claiming you as a resident; or
- Certification of Address Form from person allowing you to live with them, along with their proof of residency.

* If applicable, proof of enrollment in the Department of Children and Families Access Florida Benefits Program, such as a DCF Access card (commonly known as a food-stamp card) or DCF Access award letter/printout.

For a detailed list of volunteer positions/duties in order to specify a volunteer assignment in the field of your registration, please read through the position descriptions below by clicking each title.
Volunteer Registration: Seated position. Two volunteers staff the Volunteer Registration area at all times.
Volunteer Hospitality: Seated/standing position. Serve food and drinks to volunteers.
Client Hospitality: Standing, inside/outside position. Serve food at canteen in the morning outside and lunch inside.
Queue: Standing/sitting position, outside. First interaction with clients.
Gold Star Runner: Standing/walking position. Interaction with clients and Flow bus workers.
Intake: Seated position with high level of interaction with clients. Substantial amount of reading and writing.
Legal: Seated position with high level of interaction with clients. Substantial amount of reading and writing.
Social Security: Seated position with high level of interaction with clients. Substantial amount of reading and writing.
Florida Birth Certificates: Standing position.
Out-of-State Birth Certificates: Seated and some standing positions. Requires high level of detail and interaction with clients.
Shepherd: Standing position among group who direct clients to each station.
Transportation: Serve as a rider on trips to Social Security Administration and other locations. Assist clients upon arrival with checking in at service desk.
FLOW: Standing and walking position inside and outside. Escort clients between service areas
New volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend the orientation and station training conducted in the morning. Due to updated training at each event, volunteers for the Intake and Legal stations must attend the morning training.
